Temple Sapphire Ring

I want to share a very special piece with you: a Temple-style ring, with an organic, cut-out silhouette, adjustable to the finger almost like a second skin, with a violet sapphire suspended at its center.

I brought this stone back with me from my last trip to Thailand, found among the gem stalls of Bangkok — a city known since the 15th century as the "Jewel Capital of the World", where stones from every corner of the planet are cut and traded with a mastery few places can match. Many of those gems — and probably this one too — originate in Chanthaburi, the mining region that has made Thai sapphires and rubies world-famous for generations.

I set the stone in my Temple design: a silhouette I cut out by hand, leaving gaps and geometric shapes that frame the sapphire without stealing its spotlight. The band is adjustable, so it fits different fingers.

A piece of jewelry that carries with me the memory of that trip.
